Culina was a Design Entrepreneurship Showcase project started to address accessible cooking literacy in Milwaukee. A major challenge within this project was being able to narrow down what was the most important topic to pursue. Through lots of research I discovered the gap in cooking resources that are available to low income individuals. The project focused on a creating a group that connects individuals renting out their kitchen appliances for use along with free cooking classes at restaurants around the Milwaukee area.
The large scope of this project allowed for more exploration into how I wanted to brand. Starting the process, the goal was to have something that was welcoming and avoided looking too luxury, which could create the assumption it was costly. I selected the colors for this company as they reflected a cool & calm feel but still allowed for pops of color to grab the audiences eye in marketing materials like the infographic.
